transferring outlook express address' on xp

Jun 11, 2005 4:36AM PDT

i recently installed a new (larger) hard drive with windows xp in my compaq 6020CA and only wish to transfer certain files from the old one...can anyone tell me how to import my address book in outlook express from the old hd to the new one? i managed to find and transfer all the message folders but can't seem to find the address book.
am also wondering about the locations of 'shortcuts' that were saved to desktop from web pages and all my 'favorite' links that were saved to file.

You can find the address book in Program files / Outlook Express. There You should see WAB.EXE. Is this what you are looking for?

click File-->export-->address book
"save as" at a 'convenient location'

in your new OE install
click File-->import-->address book
'browse' to your 'convenient location'
