Transferring images

My OS is WinME. Using Camedia Master 4.1 with Olympus Stylus 300 digital camera I have previously successfully transferred images to my computer. Now without warning the software fails to recognise the camera and software does not run automatically when camera connected to usb. Software seems to be searching the FDD for the camera as this runs and the little green light illuminates. Have reinstalled software - no change. Any ideas?

The problem is a program conflict, my first guess. I don't have enough information to do a diagnosis in a forum.
