I still have all music I want on my ipod and have recovered my purchased content but cant sync ipod or will lose all the content. A lot of my old library had been transferred from cds and I dont want to go through all that process again.

It's possible but,

it requires a piece of third party software.

There are a number of pieces out there, Google for them, but I cannot recommend any particular one of them. Never had to use them.

That said, I will point you at an Apple discussion that deals with this problem:

Hi, Thanks very much for your help, it worked a treat and now have my itunes library and ipod synced. Just a little amendment for anyone else who may want to use this tutorial, I could not access the "view folders" through the tools menu on explorer but managed to find it in the control panel so you may have to look in different places depending on your computer setup

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
