transferring data from Vista platform to Windows 2000 pro pl

by geobcon / August 10, 2008 12:35 AM PDT

Having saved my Outlook 2003 contacts to a CD-RW disc from my desktop having Win2K, then transferring the data to my new laptop having Vista, the transfer was successful.
My desktop crashed and I rebuilt the hard drive and re-installed Office 2003, I now wish to copy the contacts data base in my Vista platform to a disk and import it back into my desk top. I copy the data from the laptop to a new disc (the original disc was formatted) I find that the desktop won't accept the transfer saying I must contact the administrator. I am the administrator. Is this due to a Vista,Win2K interface problem? Why won't the copy function work?
Has anyone had the same problems and is there a solution?
