Pinnacle makes an editing box and software specifically for this
It has a firewire port on the hardware piece and the firewire cable is included.
If you already have a firewire port on your computer then just go get Adobe Premiere and it will allow you to do the same thing.
Pinnacle is easier to use, but Adobe has better, well everything.
I need some help ASAP!
I need to transfer video from 2 Mini DVs to a hard drive for editing purposes. Now, I need to have a time code window in there (to edit out parts I don't need). BUT, I don't want the time code window to be married to my final image ( that is, I don't want to see the time code window in the final product because I need the final edited video for professional use).
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS???? and I need step-by-step instructions here.
ALSO, can I use the Mini DVs as the master when editing?? If not, what would happen to my Mini DVs??
How would this whole thing work if I used Final Cut Pro VS. Quicktime...is there a difference?
THANK YOU in advance for your help...it's much needed and appreciated!!
