Transfering Camcorder Video to DVR

Does anyone know how to store video from a Camcorder onto a DVR? I want to store video from my Camcorder (SONY Handycam- analogue tape)onto my DVR (Motorola DSR530). I can play the video on my TV by connecting the camcorder to the DVR using the 3 RCA (YRW) cables, but I haven't been able to record it onto the DVR- for example, pressing 'record' doesn't seem to work.

Reading http://www.starchoice.com/english/store/download/spec_sheets/dvr530hd_specsheet.pdf I find no where to input that content.

I bet your provider will tell you no.

They aren't designed for that

It can be challenging enough to *export* content from a DVR let alone *import* footage. I'd stick with a method to connect the camera directly to the tv or Pc instead.
