Transfering a program from one drive to another

I have been running a program from my D: drive, and would like to move the program to the C: drive. I can not find the installation disc to reinstall the program. I have tried copying all of the directories that I could identify with the program. This did not work. I have tried to modify the registry entries that I could identify with the program and this did not work.

I am running XP SP2.

Any ideas?

That stopped working in 1995.

Windows introduced the REGISTRY and other items which causes programs to fail when moved.

Fix? Uninstall, install but install to the new place.
