The sandisk is not running Windows so the files look fine but the short names the little computer in the player can't deal with long file names so it's a mess.
You have to choose their way or move to other players. Some folk explode over this old gear.

I transferred a series of mp3 files to a Sandisk mp3 player, hoping I would have better luck than playing trying to play them on my android phone.
As carefully as I try to do it, the files end up in different folders, mysteriously renamed, duplicate files get created in different folders on the mp3 player.
When I plug the player into my computer, the files look fine - just as I created them to play in order. But when I try to access them on the player itself, it's a nightmare.
I contacted Sandisk, and they have such a convoluted way of doing it...
Any other suggestions?
