Hi all,

This is regarding transfer of mail from one mac to another.

I was using a macbook and had setup a gmail account in the Mail prog. I got a new mbpro and am setting up the same gmail account. Both the computers are connected to the same wireless service

Is there a way to transfer my Mail folders, inbox etc to the new mbpro from the old macbook??

MBP, OS X tiger

Theoretically you can pick up all the files associated with the Mail program in the old machine and replace the like files on the new one. Doesn't always work though.
Or, if you have not already set up the new machine, you can run the Migration Assistant (found in the Utilities folder) to basically clone the new machine with all the information from the old one.
Another alternative would be to try the "Import Mailboxes" option in Mail.

I'm sure someone will come up with an even better idea but you have enough to be going on with

Good Luck

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
