Transfer from Camcorder to computer

by Detective3 / November 10, 2008 9:35 PM PST

I have an Acer, Aspire 5315 Series, model #ICL50. I recently purchased a Canon ZR 8550 digital camcorder. My problem is that I don't seem to have any way of downloading my video to my computer.
There sems to be no location where I can hook up a EEE adapter to the Acer.
Any help greatly appreciate

Guys believe it or not I don't consider mysewlf nieve when it comes to computers, however, for as long as I've had this computer approx a year I could never find the slot to insert a firewire card adapter.

Then when you both indicated I needed to get the adapter, I looked all over the computer (Acer) and found the slot. Lower left hand corner.

Additionall I have the card adapter (currently being used on another laptop) and the wire.

Thanks for the help. Going out to get a set of glasses
