Outlook 2003 runs fine on Windows 7 so you would have nothing much to do if you installed your Outlook 2003 onto this new machine.
BUT THERE IS A CATCH. I noted it in the Cnet Office forum at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6129_102-0.html?threadID=380443&tag=forums06;forum-threads

I have a new computer, with Windows 7. On my old computer with Windows XP I mainly used Microsoft Outlook (office 2003) for email (although I also use Rogers Yahoo mail, with separate address). I used the oulook address/contacts) system for keeping phone numbers and street addresses on the old computer. I have followed the microsoft directions for transferring address books to the new computer, although they seem to make it needlessly complicated. Surely this is a vital component of an email system, so why is it not made automatic, or at least simple, to transfer? My problem is that after doing all I am told to do (I think), I finally get a message telling me "You do not have authority...). So net result is that all those addresses remain on the old hard drive somewhere.
