I have excel files on 3.5 floppy from Windows XP computer that I would like to transfer directly to a DVD+RW on Vista computer. Have external floppy drive.

Use your burning program like they were on the hard disk.

If you want more than one diskette (1.44 Mb) copied to one and the same DvD (4700 Mb) - which seems quite possible to me - you've got to copy the contents of all those diskettes to the hard disk first.

Hope this helps.

Vista has the native ability to burn DVDs, so just browse to the files on the floppy disk, select them, and then click the Burn button from the context bar along the top. You could alternatively drag-and-drop to the burning software of your choice.
