TrackPad software removal

Dec 3, 2010 7:08AM PST

Does anyone know how to remove the Trackpad software?
If I go to System/Library/PreferencePanes and delete Trackpad.prefPane, after deleting it from Bluetooth preference, the system preference do not open.

Why would one want to do that?

Getting rid of the Preference pane would only remove the interface between you and the software.

Do you have some sort of problem with your computer that leads you to believe that the trackpad software is corrupt or did you install some third party software to drive a stand alone trackpad.?

Didn't like it, so returned it to Apple. Just want to remove the software that takes up 52M.
