Tracking notification w/ subject blank?

by Carol~ Moderator / December 3, 2007 1:28 PM PST

From: CNET Forums ... but subject blank. Without opening it, I looked at the message source, which looks similar to other notifications I've received in the past, where the subject was included and always has been. The "source" did reference a legitimate thread containing a new/recent post. Has anyone else experienced this? Sorry, if I missed it while trying to "search" for a previous thread of the same nature.

I also had some of them

The subject line was blank, but it was a tracked discussion. Probably another hiccup.

I sent a copy to Lee. Hopefully the technicians will be able to figure it out.

So far so good here..
by Carol~ Moderator / December 4, 2007 5:28 AM PST

All came with subjects. The only messages which make their way through my spam filter are those w/o subjects. (All very specific and all looking to "enhance" .. "that which I don't have"). It's why I was so skiddish, when I received a subject-free notification from CNET. More than you wished to know? Oh. Plain Perhaps more than a hiccup. I've saved a copy if it's needed.

I'd get two or three that are with subjects and then one missing. Two or three and again one missing.

Do you get ...

part of the header within the body/message itself? That's what I got yesterday. As I stated, I checked the message source before opening it, but the body sure looks different than any other's I've received before. Thus far, it's the only one I've gotten without a subject.

Same exact thing I got last night. Have you gotten any feedback about it? I would think not. It's probably nothing more than a glitch in the system, but I am curious about it.

other than Lee would tell the technicians. If we don't get it anymore, then it's fixed, if we get more, I guess we report it.

Rick..

I would venture to say, it may only be the two of us and possibly not worth the time to fix, as of yet. Confused At this point, I may wait a couple of days and report back if I haven't gotten more w/o subject's. Otherwise.. I think this thread is going to be very long. Grin

Subject Blank.

It been on and off, not consistent. The emails have these items in them that shouldn't be there. Then the normal part of the email starts.

Maybe other's are overlooking it? Something I've had to do, since apparently it doesn't seem to be on anyone's "to do" list. It's only a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless. Sad

I was ready to post the same thing! In my case, they never stopped. Not a major ordeal in the scheme of things. More like an "annoyance". I still find it strange no one else seems to have the problem. Perhaps, that's why the situation remains. Confused
