tracking instant messages

My roommates were using my computer for instant messaging on aol and I want to know what they said to some of my buddies. Is there a way for me to check what they typed?

If using MSN Messenger there is a third party add-on that may fill your needs. It archives all chats and even has an password encryption feature so only you can read the archived chat. Carefully read and follow install instructions as you may want to opt out of one feature in particular in which some find undesirable. It is easy to do. Only works with Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger. Go here for details of Messenger Plus and download the latest version.
