When I went back and re-read on the Sober virus(http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6142-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=145505&messageID=1631297), and clicked on the linque: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3513_7-6405253-1.html?tag=nl.e757 to a CNET article written by Robert Vamosi I got a centrport.net tracking cookie.
Okay, I read these forums every couple of days, then run multiple scans prior to shutting down (AdAware, SpyBot, SpywareDoctor, MS Giant Anti-Spyware) and I'm always getting notifications.
I also have the add-on AdWatch that runs continuously, and does a dang fine job, I might ad.
So.
I've been perusing and reading this forum and links to articles on this site.
Now I have a whole pile of Tracking Cookies corresponding in time to the last 25 minutes on these forums.
serving-sys.com, questionmarket.com, ads.pointroll.com, centrport.net, several multiple hits.
I just find it strange that they would come from this site.
Or is something piggy-backing?
I cleared the files and went looking.
The linque provided to CA e-trust spyware encyclopedia by marianna in this URL:
http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6142-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=145992&messageID=1633463
gives me a tracking cookie from questionmarket.com
It may be just links that do this, but I find it odd and a little unnerving.
Just a question, not picking on anybody.
