Tracking Cookie in Norton 2010?

Does anyone has any cognizance of tracking cookies found during Norton Scan?

How can I remove it manually?

Cookies from Norton/Symantec itself? That would be a little bit strange, that it finds its own cookies worth a message.

Or other cookies that it finds during a scan?

Cookies, of course, are user- and browser-dependent. It's not a Windows thing, it's a user/browser thing. So deleting a cookie depends on the browser.

Set Norton to Automatically remove
May 3, 2010 6:58AM PDT

Hi Sanguine_about_denouement,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

Tracking Cookies are not harmful like infections and you can set your Norton 2010 product to automatically remove Tracking Cookies without prompting you.

Please see Symantec's definition of What are Tracking Cookies?

To change the setting in Norton AntiVirus or Internet Security 2010, please follow the steps below.

1. Open Norton and then select the "Settings" link next to Computer.

2. Under the Computer Scans category, locate the "Tracking Cookies Scan" option and move the slider so that it says "Remove."

3. Select the "apply" and then "OK" buttons at the bottom of the window.

Whenever a background scan takes place Tracking Cookies will now automatically be removed and you will no longer be alerted.

Thank you,
Mike
