Trackball Settings

Aug 21, 2009 8:49PM PDT

I use a Microsoft Trackball with a Vista 32 Notebook, Microsoft Word 2007. Everything great, but when the computer sometimes shuts down on its own (it happens sometimes when you close it) the Trackball loses its "snap-to" programming, the feature that automatically brings the pointer to the default box (usually the "Yes".) This is a great feature, but it's a pain to have to keep going to the mouse properties every time and redoing this. I'm running XP on another PC and I never have this trouble. I have tried "Apply," and "OK." Any thoughts?
