i am not certain, but i think you have network packet tracing turned on for one of your network adapters. look at everything under Network Properties for your network connections to see if one of them has tracing turned on. you may also have to run the vendor's network card utilities to see if there is a separate tracing option.

Windows XP Pro trace.log file in c:\windows\system32\logfiles\WMI folder continually grows to the point where it fills up my c drive. It can get as big as 2 or 3 GB! How can I limit the size of this file or better yet, turn of whatever is being logged to this file?
