errrm. sorry.
The tp link just started working.
I had not changed anything, just tried to connect to it to see if I can copy and paste the properties window so people could see what I see.
I will have more questions as I need to get a client bridge to connect to the tp link in a few days.
Thanks
Ian
Hi.
I have this TP link router (if you can call it that).
It has the option of being an access point or a range extender. I have set it to be a range extender.
I user the radio to find the router I want to extend. I filled in the password and type of encryption.
The tp link tells me that it is connected to the router I want to connect to. My laptop tells me that I am connected to the router I want to connect to at an excelent strength.
The tp link says that the strength of the router I want to extend is (average 10db) but I get lowest of 5db and best at 24db.
When I try to use the browser to connect to the internet, I am told that there is no connection.
If I take my laptop or phone to the router I want to connect to, I can connect no problem. I just can't connect to the original router via the tp link.
Please can you tell me where the problem might be or offer potential solutions.
If you need more info, please ask.
Many thanks.
Ian
