Tower wont switch on :S

Ok, my pc spec is as follows;
amd 2400xp+
512sdram
2 20gb harddrives
windows Me

I figured out that the plug which goes into the psu, its fuse had gone but im not sure what this suggest and what my be the result of it.

All help very much appreciated.

the technology of Power Supplies, I would only use a swap option as a troubleshooter. Opening a PS can expose you to lethal voltages that can hurt.

Once you verify a working PS and still no start your troubleshooting advances to other areas.
