I'm just south and typing on my HP Probook similar to https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-hp-probook-6560b-intel-core-i5-2520m-25ghz-156-hd-refurb?deal_option=1df0424a-3bd7-11e7-a5e7-002590604002&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US_DT_SEA_GGL_TIM_TTT_PADS_CBP_CHP_NBR_g*gg-hp-probook-6560b-intel-core-i5-2520m-25ghz-156-hd-refurb_productpartitionid*180954408301_campaignid*600843543_adgroupid*27871070821_prodtarget*180954408301_productid*59505339_target*pla-180954408301_d*Goods-Product-Ads_keyword*_adtype*pla_merchantdid*10018412_c*103296034981_k*_m*_adposition*1o2&mr:referralID=25eeaa9b-a0da-11e7-a158-005056941669&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgbXvo_O81gIVD5l-Ch3O1wh-EAQYAiABEgL_3vD_BwE but with 8GB RAM.
I paid less than 300USD.
Mine came with a new spare battery so hitting 4 years should be a snap. Since you are not playing video games, this class laptop will be fine.
Hey /g/, so I was looking for a good college laptop, Ive spent at least 40h online in the last 3 weeks reading, researching and trying to find the best deal on something I could use for school for web browsing, watching videos, word processing, having multiple pdfs open and some light programming.
Ive found these three deals that seemed to be worthwhile:

Which do you think would make more sense? They are all pretty close of each other in terms of processing power, ram and storage so I'm really looking at battery life, capacity to last another 4-5 years, ease of parts replacement and resell value down the line.
