I usually give this a go with REVO UNINSTALLER. I've used the free version for years. Now if MSFT is baking parts of Office (365 or other) into the OS I can't tell but here on W10 I used the free REVO Uninstaller to remove it since I don't use Office (I use LibreOffice) and didn't want the unnecessary updates.
Win10x64 laptop, current with all updates.
I'm using MS Office 2007 Basic (Word, Excel, Outlook), legal and authenticated, and everything works properly. I'm using CompanionLink software to sync the Outlook calendar with my iPhone. I have CompanionLink installed and setup properly but when I initiate a sync it starts MS Outlook 2016. According to the installed programs in control panel the only MS Office product installed in Office 2007 Basic.
When I go to SETTINGS:APPS:APPS AND FEATURES and choose MAIL AND CALENDAR and then choose ADVANCED OPTIONS the version number showing is 16005.11425.20190.0 which I believe is the version number of either Office 365 or Outlook 2016. I have:
- Turned off all of the permissions but the problem persists.
- Terminated the app and related processes but the problem persists.
The option to UNISTALL is grayed out.
Tech support at CompanionLink says that in the event that two versions of Outlook are installed their software is designed to run the most recent version of Outlook and there is no setting within CompanionLink to select a particular version.
So it would seem that Outlook 2016 is installed somewhere on the hard drive. How do I get rid of it?
