Toshiba Satellite P105 S6062 Windows XP Pro Hibernate and S

Hibernate and Stand By are erratic. Sometimes when it's on Stand By, when I open the lid I get the "Windows is getting ready to Hibernate" message. Then it hibernates. I close the lid after the screen goes dark. Sometimes if I wait a minute to open the lid it comes out of hibernation. At other times it freezes and all I get is the black screen. Then I have to push the start button and start from scratch.

Why is it doing this and how do I stop it? Toshiba no longer answers questions about Satellites.

Not properly installed. Tell me about your install procedure with the bios update, 10 or so drivers etc.

It is the original installation from Toshiba. I'm not computer savvy so I don't know how to answer you. Bios update? Which drivers?

Make it a warranty issue.

If they delivered it dead, make the call.

Drivers and such at ... csd.toshiba.com and put in your model. It's sad but they think we all know about drivers.
