That almost all such compatible CPUs would draw more Watts and fail due to either the power supply in the laptop or burn up since the design is only made for a CPU of so many Watts.
Instead, swap out the HDD for SSD. My prime example is a 2006 Dell Inspiron e1505 with 1GB RAM, 32bit CPU and 120GB SSD running W10. Boot times from cold to getting a web page on screen was clocked at 35 seconds.
There are other areas to upgrade that pay off.
I know this Motherboard can only take 32 bit socket 478 CPU.
But can i upgrade it? And is it compatible with P4 processors?
