Question

Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1NM (PSKT4E)

Mar 30, 2015 3:40AM PDT

I have purchased the above laptop and formatted Windows 8.1 to install Windows 7. Everything is fine except the wireless drivers won't install. I've downloaded the official drivers from the Toshiba website. But I'm at a loose end.

Any ideas?

Back to Toshiba.

Not only do you need the driver but some app to enable the WiFi. Also, there may be another driver to install before the WiFi. PLEASE DETAIL your install plan. I can't do this for your laptop but there is some usual steps and I may see what you left out like the motherboard chipset package or the app to turn things on.

Why 7? With Classic Shell I'm just fine with 8.x.

I installed a 'handful' of drivers from the selection which I saw on the list on the Toshiba website.

I have all the file names to let you know what they we're but as they're shortened I couldn't tell you EXACTLY which one does what.

Here is a list.

(NT) I don't see the chipset or Tosh's TVAP.

If TVAP is not installed on your computer, you can verify if it is available for your specific model under "Downloads" on the TOSHIBA support web site (support.toshiba.com). Prior to installing other utilities, install TVAP.
