The fact it works in safe mode may be a sign the laptop was never maintained with the usual canned air.
here's the deal, my laptop was shutting itself off when i over burdened the hard drive could deal with that always rebooted.now it shut itself down, when i restart, it shuts itself down almost at once.tried the zero and power to restore the unit, tried to restore by the restore function.ran ckdsk, and a few other tests when i had it running. the only way to run it is in the safe mode with networking, power cord unplugged. don't think it's harddrive but am at wits end at this point...any help?
