You change the drive or use an external DVDRW drive.
The internals run less than 50 at geeks.com, externals have been spotted at 25 and under. If this is not cheap enough then consider using other people's machines to copy the CD content to a 10 buck USB memory stick.
I have a Toshiba satellite A200 laptop with a TEAC DVD writer model TEAC DV-W28ECT running windows xp professional sp2 and recently found that the cd drive cannot read some data cds and sometimes cannot write data cds. I have tride to find updated drivers for this drve but to no avail. Please can someone help me to fix this problem because at the moment I do not have means to change this drive for another drive...
