toshiba s100 laptop - as I type cursor jumps around!

Toshiba S100 Portege Windows XP Professional version 2002 Svc Pack 3
pentium(R)M processor 2.0GHz, 2.0 GHz 2.0 GB Ram

When I type on net forums or just on the net, & emails, the cursor has a tendency to jump around or go completely off the page. I originally suspected that the battery heating up was causing the cursor to be jumpy. but I have a laptop fan base so keeps it fairly cool. quite frustrating when typing fast then it jumps to prior lines & you have to go back & correct. it's like a spoiled kid, I type, correct, then it jumps back immediately. or is it possessed.

also, at times when the cursor jumps off the page, & as I type it goes back a screen.

funny thing, it didn't jump around while typing this thread (battery is cool right now). also it doesn't jump around while in word or excel.

is it just getting old, dirty keyboard or the heat from the battery?

Try TOUCHFREEZE.

Or just disable the touchpad and use an external mouse.
