Good job Toshiba and Sony. Keep pushing back the introduction of high definition media. If both keep delaying it then you will make Bill Gates' prediction come true. On demand delivery and home (and distant) server storage of media will become more and more acceptable.
Delay HD optical media for (I'd say) 2 years and they will end up being as relevant as the Sony Mini Disc.

Toshiba said in a statement it would not launch the products until the last details on copy protection management systems, called AACS, or advanced access content system, were finalized.
?I cannot say when the AACS issues will be resolved,? the spokeswoman said. ?But it?s hard to think the launch in Japan will come after the U.S. launch.?
