TOSHIBA PDR 4300 DIGITAL CAMERA

Sep 24, 2004 11:42AM PDT

I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA AND AFTER USING IT FOUND THAT THE DELETE FOLDERS, AND FORMAT CARD OPTIONS ARE INACCESSIBLE. TOOK CAMERA BACK AND GOT ANOTHER ONE. SAME PROBLEM. SEEMS LIKE THESE FUNCTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ACTIVATE THESE FEATURES? TOSHIBA SUPPORT WANT $2O TO ANSWER ANY TECH QUESTION. NOT A GOOD COMPANY FEATURE, BUT I LIKE THE CAMERA. PLEASE HELP, ANYONE? PLEASE E-MAIL ME. WALTER

Why are you yelling?

Typing in all capital letters is much like shouting. Your post is very hard to read.

Your answer is, however this simple. The store that sold you the camera should get a visit from you to show you how to use the device.

I downloaded the owners manual for the 4300 and on pages 99 and 100, it has detailed instructions for doing those functions.

Also note, that it says to hold down the erase button for 2 seconds to bring up the menu you need.

If you have followed those instructions and can not do a format, you should check the SD media card and make sure that you have not accidently moved the "write protect" switch on the card. If it is write protected, you can not format.
