Toshiba Notebook 2805 series

I have WindowsME. The keyboard has gone haywire. Letter get printed without pressing them on keyboard.
Words will change from lower case to CAPS. For some reaso /qa keeps coming up on screen w/o typing it on keyboard.
I erased everything, reinstalled from recovery disk and still same broblem. Please help.

Unplug notebook keyboard, use external.

as previous poster stated, you need to remove the keyboard

clean the contacts, and plug it back in. If that doesn't work then you may have to replace the keyboard.

If you don't know how to remove the keyboard, you can look for the manual for your laptop on ebay - they are available for that model. You can look for the keyboard on ebay as well.

If you don't feel like doing that, just take the laptop to a reputable shop for repair - it shouldn't cost that much to fix/replace the keyboard (I wouldn't think - but get an estimate before you let them do anything).

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
