TOSHIBA N205-325BL NETBOOK

by zxyqzx / January 7, 2010 2:28 PM PST

This netbook is, by far, the worst computer I have ever had. The cursor runs all over the page any time you inadvertently touch the large touchpad. In addition, it is very difficult to compose emails due to the erratic movement of the cursor: you think you are typing in one place but find the cursor has moved and ensuing words end up in another part of the body of the letter. I was unable to adjust the touchpad sensitivity so this would not occur but, even with tech support, it did not help. This netbook cost over $400.00 but is so frustrating to use I recommend NO ONE PURCHASE THIS NETBOOK (I would now hesitate to buy any Toshiba computer).

Purchase a usb mouse.
or
Install Linux or a BSD and adjust xorg.conf to prevent the cursor from moving.

Same issue on other makes. Try TOUCHFREEZE
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / January 7, 2010 10:18 PM PST

I hear you but I learned fast that netbooks are not laptops. It will cause those that use them as laptops much pain. BUT WE CAN HELP!

1. TOUCHFREEZE really helps. Does not cure but what an improvement.
2. Use a mouse.

The issue is not exclusive to this make or model. But the fixes are.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
