Toshiba Laptop

I have a Toshiba laptop model A20-SP259:
Pentium 4 2.66 MHz. 256 MB RAM
I want to change the hard drive (original went bad) and I need to know what it's the maximum capacity I could buy and wich one do you recommend, the original was 40 GB of capacity (MK4021GAS).
Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you

if

you have win xp, any size of laptop eide drive will work. Assuming that is the correct connectivity of your hard drive. Check man. specs.

Thank you for your reply, I'll check some drives specs, and I think I will use a 100 GB HDD.
