toshiba dvd recorder

Feb 19, 2006 1:08AM PST

I have a toshiba rd-xs32su recorder. I want to record the daytona 500 today without commercials. How do I do this. I want final results on a disk. Thanks

I am not familiar with that unit but the process should be roughly the same for all brands depending on their editing features.

You have to go back after recording and edit out the commercials. If that Toshiba has a built-in hard drive then you can just dub it onto the DVD disc after you edit out the commercials.

If this Toshiba records to DVD discs only, then I would record the race to a rewriteable disc, edit out the commercials and then copy it to DVD-R using a second DVD player that will play your rewriteable discs.

The bad news: you might have to read the owner's manual.

We are men, we do not read manuals. Of course, we do not ask directions either.
