Toshiba 30HF86C with only analog OTA signal???

by aenv / September 17, 2006 12:55 PM PDT

We are looking to get a new tv and I like the Toshiba 30HF86C because it gives me the wide screen in a size that will fit in our cabinet. Also I want a CRT.

My question is: We don't have cable or satelite and there are no channels in our area the broadcast in HDTV. I have had some people tell me that there will be no problem others have said that I will not be happy with the picture at all. Is the picture going to be any worse than my current analog 27" TV?

The about link will help you finad any HD OTA in your area.
CRTs have the best picture, they also do the BEST job with analog "SD" video. But they are heavy.
The picture will = or excide your current 27". John

No OTA HD signal in the area

Sorry, forgot to mention that I live in Canada. Edmonton Alberta to be exact. I know that we don't have any digital OTA signals in the area, that is why I was asking how bad the picture would be with an incoming analog antenna signal.

This sounds terrible No use buying a hi-def t.v. if you cant feed it. I called the dish network for you and was told they dont service your area yet. I do think satellite service would be best for you. I have dish network service and I love it your going to receive a beautiful 1080I picture and 5.1. sound and should be able to pick up your local network stations Iam sure there must be satellite service in your area time to let your fingers go thru the yellow pages, and please post back to us I would like to know how this works our for you stewee

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
