Yep, that is a NASTY one !

Ad aware should remove it. Also The Cleaner finds it.

This is the most intrusive spyware i've ever seen. be aware that this "betterinternet" acts as an installer. it downloads and installs all different kinds of spyware. everytime you remove the spyware it installed, it will go back to the internet and download and install something different. here is what i had to do to get rid of it:

1. unplug network cable. every time you reboot, this f**ker goes out to the inet and downloads then installs more crap.

2. reboot in safemode with command promt.

3. manually remove the file: c:\winnt\system32\msg{B4008848-5524-47EF-A489-6DFD13542EAD}0115.dll (NOTE: this file name is dynamic it will be different on each PC - so you have to figure out what yours is before going into safe mode to delete).
also delete any directories that ad aware identifies as problematic - some of these i found were: myway, autoup, incredeal...the list goes on my memory fails me...

4.restart then rerun adaware to make sure you terminated the beast.

i think if you were using adaware pro this would not have been so damn hard to get rid of - then again im not sure that adaware has been updated for this guy.

Marianna, you are so right about it being nasty. Iv thrown all but the kitchen sink at it with no luck.YET!
Adaware finds all the crap but getting rid of it is the hassle.I got rid of some of the arms but the head and legs live. The puter Im working on is a Gateway G6-350. 350mg Intel Pentium II 128mg memory.Wndows 98se.Where did you find the file you removed in step 3 and how did you remove it? Im guessing I must find my file in the crap that Adaware located? Listed was a registry key and 7 reg values all pertaining to vx2betterinternet.Reg key = Hkey-classes-Root:cls\{DDFFA75A--e8lD-4454-89F6-B9FD0631E726} when I went to regedit I couldn't find it.All reg values are in windows\system\ Adaware removed all but two and I tried to delete them after finding them and it said can't delete this file.Thar's enough,Im getting too long with this but any ideas will help.Oh, I did use The Cleaner and it came up "clean".
