Too many edits error

by nagual / January 30, 2006 5:00 AM PST

Whenever I try and cut and paste from another document into the main one I am working on I get an error message stating "There are too many edits in the document. This operation will be incomplete. Save your work." I have tried save, save as, closing and reopening word, and rebooting the pc. I have also tried most suggetions I have found in google groups. Any suggestions from you guys?

After 2 more, make the call the Microsoft.
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / January 31, 2006 9:19 AM PST

I'd run HOUSECALL and EWIDO. Eject what they find, then uninstall Office, run the Cleanup utility at;en-us;290301

You didn't tell exactly how you cleaned temp files. The usual Disk Cleanup tool?

After all this, make the call to Microsoft and ask for a fix. They have fixes that they only give to those that call in.
