Too Bright these days

it seems the Forums are so bright white that they are hard to read and while typing here , the grey letters are too faded grey and need to be darker , The "discussion type" above is almost invisible .

I know my eyes are going but , a little more contrast here would be great.
I know everyone's gonna say to go change the high contrast settings in my browser or Comp but, it's really only here that I'm having problems .
Anyone else having this problem ?

CNET is strange about this.

They want the forums to blend or match the CNET.com web site so this is likely never to happen.

Wish I could write otherwise.
