Since the part in question has a finite lifespan the only recall was for a bunch with shorter lifespans. That batch is long gone so consumers get upset that we are looking at expected failures and not a defective part. Some call it defective since it will fail over time.

I have a samsung hlt5076s tv that started with one or two dead pixels and within a couple weeks I had thousands. Ive read about tons of people having the same issue with the same tv, does anyone know if there is a recall or what the part is?
