https://www.av-comparatives.org/ is a well-known site to compare antivirus. However, both Avast and Norton have much more than just antivirus. They have complete security suites, and I don't think that site takes all other functionaity in account.
So maybe also check google hits for AVAST REVIEW and NORTON REVIEW. Then you can take an informed decision.

try them both and see which one you like the best. personally I use neither, windows defender is all I need.
