the usual cause of this
by mrmacfixit Forum moderator / January 16, 2012 5:46 AM PST

is because the disc is not finalized.
However, the default in Toast is to finalize each disc on completion of the burn.

Check in the toast preferences that you have not turned this feature off.

Can't tell you exactly where to look in Toast as I don't have toast with me right now

Compatibility problems?
by macnerd10 / January 22, 2012 4:06 AM PST

I am reading that even version 10 has compatibility problems with Lion. To rule this out, you might like to burn a test DVD on Leopard-running computer and see if the newer one would read it correctly. I could not find anything in the preferences directly concerning finalizing the disk. The only preference seemingly relevant (I am with Toast 11 though) is to write disk or write session (under Recorder>recorder settings>advanced>write CD). It should be "write disk".

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
