Question

to uninstalled a hidden application

Hi Guys
Recently my acer laptop running windows 7 got a virus attack and all pdf, adobe file and some applications turned unreadable. one of the application is peachtree accounting software (sage company). i was able to retrieve the data from program and files. i installed a new anti virus "Kaspersky" and able to remove the virus. but when i tried to uninstall Peachtree accounting software, it keeps saying this app is already installed in this computer. but i could not find it in a control panel uninstall list assuming it is hidden some where. when i tried to repair it says this "no peachtree acc product found", it is even not listed in a program and files list in C file.
how can i find this app to uninstall and reinstall it
Thanks
Mesayz

when i tried to uninstall it to reinstall it, i could not find it in an install list in a control panel and even in program and file list, then when i tried to install the app from a disc, it says this app is already installed so it keeps ask me to either repair or remove it from computer.

Re: uninstall

That't not a Windows 7 problem. Explain your problem to peachtrees customer support and see what solution they offer. They know where their program looks and what to delete to make the installer think it isn't installed already.

Have You Tried Revo Uninstaller? Or???

In reply to: to uninstalled a hidden application

Revo Uninstaller is a free third party uninstall program which "might" find the remnants you're referring to. Once the remnants of Peachtree are removed, you should be able to reinstall the program. Use the "Free download" in the link below:

https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

And if that doesn't work, then the link below gives you the specific instructions for a manual uninstall of Sage 50. Using the instructions to remove all files, folders, and registry entries should allow you to get it reinstalled also.

Hope this helps.
