To much RAM?

by cshs_xc_runner / January 30, 2009 10:21 AM PST

Can you have to much RAM? I have a 20 gb Quantam Fireball Hard Drive and a AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.21 GHz and 960 MB of RAM. I want to put 512 MB more RAM? Is that okay?

Without knowing what pc make you have it`s impossible to give accurate info. But, usually though, increasing ram to 1gb or more should give you a real increase in performance. So no. You cant have too much ram.

can recognize, add more RAM than the OS can use, or more add more RAM than computer's use warrants ... I'd say that's too much RAM.
