To Logout Or To Not Logout

May 3, 2004 2:29AM PDT

Most forums, including this one, have a logout selection.
Is there any advantage to using this as opposed to just
"closing" (clicking on the little x in the upper right hand corner of the window)?

Just kidding.

The reason to logout is simple. Let's say you were at some hotel on travel and you logged in here. If you were thinking about security, you would not save passwords and you would also logout and reboot so someone can't walk up and re-use your logon.

Thanks, R. Proffitt. I have yet to use a "public" PC but if I ever do I will certainly remember your advice.
