Well, it's happening again, and now on the wife's mirror machine. After I fixed (I thought) the power option I removed the PCI NIC and went back to the on board LAN. Last night it started again, and on the wife's machine. So I'm gonna put the D-link PCI NIC back but I have a question.

What's the difference between disabling the NIC (on board) in Device Manager and in the BIOS? It's quicker to do it in Device Manager. But if there's a difference, what is it?
