To Buy Or Not To Buy...What's On The Horizon??

I'm looking to buy a new notebook anywhere between now and the next 6 months. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/insight on what kind of technology (new Windows version, better notebooks, etc.) that I should consider to make me hold off from buying a notebook today. Any thoughts?

Dual core processors are the next big thing

they likely will not be available within 6 months, but shortly thereafter. Allong with dual cores, Windows Vista has most everyone hyer ventilating. The big debate is buy 32bit or 64 bit.
