General discussion

To all disgruntled Toshiba Owners

Feb 8, 2005 3:01PM PST

I will be going to local stores(Ie best lie and Circuit City) in the dallas area this weekend and paste copies of messages in this board room talking about Toshita crappy support and unwillingness to replace my 2 month old laptop.I will also be calling toshita an informing them of my weekend plans. Maybe if we all get together they might swap all of these a75-s206/209's that they sold us. I strongly believe that for those of us that have owned machines for less than 6 months(less than 2 for me)we are entitled to full replacement. So go buy a couple reams of paperand print all of the nice things said about toshita here and spread the word. If i can keep tosh from gettin 5 new customers this weekend I will be happy. Stick it to the man (in this case Toshita)!!!!

Toshiba

Before you do anything you may want to either invest in a spell checking program or swap your "B" and "T" keys. Secondly if your going to a retailer to post these things be prepared to be escorted out of the stores or even arrested.

B and T no mistake

I think he was spelling it "Toshita" intentionally. At least I think so.

Get real. Toshiba sells so many of their cheap notebooks at retailers that a few disgruntled consumers does not make any difference to them. If you are unhappy, don't buy another Toshiba product. Personally, I've never had anything but positive experiences with Toshiba products.

Quality all about on par . . . choose on features
Feb 15, 2005 12:19PM PST

I find that most differences between computers from the big manufacturers are on features and not build quality. Every company has QC issues from time to time and this often creates a batch of customers who have complaints.

I personally hate toshiba's keyboard layouts. They drive me nuts. Dells have the best layouts I find. HP and Compaq are usually tolerable in that regard, but not as natural for me. Stuff like that is what I choose on, plus actual feature differences like Sonoma, screen choices, weights, and so forth.
