So, you are saying that you can somehow get podcasts on TiVo? Can you copy them to a portable device? And, to further clarify, are you saying you can get all podcasts or just ones that are on a certain list somewhere and that BOL is not on that list?
I'm fascinated by this, basically because it seems to indicate a merging of TV and the internet and I've been kind of waiting for that. But I'm not sure how it helps you -- is it more convenient than subscribing on iTunes? Do you see it as a backup in case iTunes is down? I've been a subscriber for about two months now and I don't think I've missed an episode, though I had to hunt for a couple of them. They seem to be posted here on the forum and on the Cnet podcast page, even if the subscription thing doesn't always work.
Let me first start of by saying Veronica, Tivo ROCKS!!! After doing Christmas shopping for everyone I splurged and bought myself a Tivo. The features blow the Comcast DVR (which I have used) and my frieds Dish Network DVR's out of the water.
After hooking my Tivo up to my home network, and going to www.tivo.com and requesting the Yahoo update, I finally recieved it today. It was supposed to take 3 to 5 business days but it only took one ![]()
Anyway... I love the Podcaster feature. My only compaint is Cnet Tech News is the only Cnet podcast that has the URL pre-programed in the software. While I do listen to it occasionally, I would rather listen to you guys.
Like the rest of Tivo, it was pretty easy to figure out how to find you guys on there. I just had to go the the "Enter a Url" command, and after surfing to podcast.cnet.com I found the RSS feed address to input into my Tivo (talk about cumbersome... but I guess there is really no other way to do it)...
I'll still probably listen to ya'll on my way to and from work, but I like that I have another option to make sure I don't miss out on a BOL episode.
