According to the WSJ, a few minutes ago, A Texas jury awarded TiVo more than $73 million in their patent infringement case against EchoStar.
In addition to that the article states that EchoStar has a countersuit against TiVo that isn't planned to go to trial until February '07. In that suit EchoStar says that TiVo "knowingly infringed on four separate EchoStar patents". Apparrently one of them was issued as early as June 1998.
What I don't get is the following:
- What technology is it that TiVo says it had that EchoStar didn't have if EchoStart is suing too?
- Are the patents infringments that EchoStar over the same as the ones used by TiVo with this $73 million?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
